iTSync 2.1 The name says it all! iTSync is a product to make the daily use of iTunes a lot easier. One of the major issues with iTunes is how it can clutter your music collection. From adding duplicate tracks that already exist in iTunes to not monitoring music folders. iTSync has two modes of operation- manual mode and automatic mode.
Manual mode is for the complete clean up task. When libraries are littered with duplicate and dead tracks and out of date. iTSync doesn't stop there. IPod space is limited and must be used efficiently. iTSync will detect duplicate and orphan tracks in your iPod. Orphan tracks occur when the playlist on your iPod has been deleted but the actual tracks still exists consuming valuable iPod memory.
Automatic mode is for the continuous tasks. Running iTSync in the background will guarantee that your library is always up to date and clean.
iTSync has six main functions:
* Finding and removing duplicate tracks in iTunes based on 14 duplicate searching criteria. Once duplicate tracks have been found use one of the five intelligent duplicate selection criteria for removal
* Detecting and removing iPod 'orphan' tracks
* Detecting and removing iPod duplicate tracks
* Synchronizing the users iTunes library automatically and manually
* Removing dead tracks (tracks marked with an exclamation point in iTunes)
* Finding and adding or removing tracks not allocated to a user defined playlist
What iTSync Can Do For You

* iTSync will 'intelligently search your hard drive for music files not added to your iTunes library. Once the missing files have been found, the user can add or remove any and all files. To prevent from endless searches, iTSync provides three different searching depths. Keeping your library up-to-date and freeing up valuable hard drive space.
* Periodically files get deleted or moved around, if these files are being pointed at by iTunes it will create a 'dead track' or a track marked with an '!' by iTunes (Sometime iTunes does not mark these tracks until you attempt to play those files). iTSync will efficiently search your entire playlist looking for 'dead tracks' and removing those entries in your iTunes library.
* Duplicate songs can be a real pain. Not only do they take up hard drive space but can also clutter you iTunes library. iTSync will search for all duplicates in your iTunes library using user specified duplicate criteria and provides a simple method for removing all your troublesome duplicate files.
* Identical to the library duplicate removal, iTSync can do the same for your iPod
* iPod memory is limited and therefore very valuable. Sometimes iPod playlists have been deleted but the tracks still exist hidden. These iPod tracks are called 'orphan' tracks. Using iTSync you can detect and reclaim your valuable iPod disk space.
* It is very useful and helpful to break your large iTunes library into sections or categories. However, it is very difficult to keep track of what songs have been allocated to what playlists. iTSync will search through and compare all your playlists and library and find all songs not allocated to a playlist.
