MP3-Check 1.0.30.0 Thus, you can define the criteria on which your MP3 collection should be checked. In order to ease your start for this check of your music collection, we defined default settings for each criterion. MP3-Check is currently available in English and German. Simply click on the corresponding flag to change.

* If you want to know e.g. whether the ID3v1 or ID3v2 tag was set or is missing, activate the corresponding radio button.
* With the "bit rate check" you define the acceptable quality of your MP3s. Everything which is below or above these values is identified by MP3-Check.
* With the "sample rate check" you define the minimum sampling rate for your MP3s. Everything which is below will be shown up in the report.
* With the "gain volume check" you define the acceptable volume of your MP3s. In this case it will be searched for the tag which was written into the MP3 files by MP3 gain. You get all MP3s listed which have no MP3-gain tag or are not in the desired range.
After you have defined your settings, select a directory which should be tested with all subdirectories. If the test is too long or you selected the wrong directory, you can cancel the check at any time.
After the examination you'll get a short summary of the MP3s tested and the time needed. The detailed result is shown as tree structure such as a directory listing of Windows Explorer. Opening the individual nodes you receive all MP3s which did not correspond to your criteria. You’ll find the value for each MP3 which differs and the complete file name including directory.
Unfortunately, it is possible to have non-standard or broken files. These files will be listed under "unordinary MP3s". However, before you finally delete those MP3s please test them in your player which might be able to read them.

In the result window you can select a subtree or individual files and edit them with a right click in a tool of your choice. This tool integration can be activated and defined in the configuration dialog. Please look at the relevant manuals under "transfer parameters" for the exact transfer syntax of your tools.
In order not to loose or to be able to re-use the information, you have the possibility to save the result. Do so, a LOG-file with the current date and the complete result is written into the directory checked.
Additionally, M3U playlists are provided for all results are available. These can be used for later conversion or volume adjustment without the need to select the individual files again.. |
